New George Street and Cornwall Street are two pedestrianised streets that run the length of the city centre and are a must for all your favourite high street brands as well as being home to Plymouth's three major department stores.

The Independent Quarter at the western end of the city centre is home to over 200 unique shops in and around the indoor Pannier Market. For that special purchase and great service this area of the city centre is not to be missed. Drake Circus is Plymouth’s brand new covered shopping centre. Opened in October 2006 it is home to a wide range of well-known high street and independent stores and restaurants. It has eight major stores plus over 48 shops, cafes and restaurants. It is full of modern facilities for shoppers, including 1,270 car parking spaces, toilets, lifts and disabled access.
Also Plymouth Pavilions have leisure facilities that include a fun pool, which contains a shipwrecked galleon complete with water canons, a wave machine, waterfalls, Jacuzzi and flumes, as well as a fantastic Ice Rink. Both the pool and rink provide a number of sessions for all ages and abilities to enjoy.  The Family Ice Discos are highly recommended.
