The Athenaeum Lodge is ideally situated in the heart of the City Centre close to Plymouth Hoe, about 200 meters from the sea front and a 10 minute walk from the prestigious Plymouth Barbican. The fully furnished rooms are suitable whether on a short stay or a long holiday. We have a range of rooms to suit all your needs and requirements.  A full and varied English Breakfast and Vegetarian Breakfast are available. A Continental Breakfast can be served to your bed room for early ferry travellers. The Guest House Breakfast Menu is in English and French. Other languages are available in the B&B.

The b&b is a few minutes walk from the city centre pleasant traffic free shopping centre, with Drake Circus shops and the Barbican. A view over Plymouth Sound, a spectacular natural harbour, is 200 metres away. The Guest House is less than five minutes walk from the Theatre Royal, Plymouth Pavilions and the Reel cinema. We are near the University of Plymouth with the Coach Station about ten minutes walk and the Rail Station a short taxi ride away. Plymouth International Ferry Port and Brittany Ferries is less than five minutes by car from Athenaeum Lodge. A round trip via the Cremyl Ferry and walk to Kingsand/Cawsand through the Cornish countryside and a ferry back to the Barbican, makes a great day out.
